i dont use much colour for my illustrations, but we decided to use some colour on our walls. so we have been painting a bit, also painting some frames, some furniture, some candlesticks and basically just painting anything we could get our hands on.
then we also drank brandy with Nadja who is here for a visit and baked a cake which we had to breakfast.
next we will be covering ourselves in rainbows, butterflies and unicorns and colouring our hair for a disposable session.

i dont know why Gina is wearing such a strange dress and hat. but i know that i helped some people build a small commune communal garden. my mum says their names are: virginie, sula, annie, andrew, katie and nick. i also enjoyed running by the sea or a lake, nobody can recall this picture being taken...

today i was supposed to be painting furniture but then we wanted to get some special eco-friendly paint or so... which means we have to wait and waiting is not my saving grace...
anyhow we had coke with Anna and that was fun in the cold and then my sister gifted me with these as well! she was trying to get me the pink flamingo but she could only get the bunny which is good enough and left me stunned. obviously since it's a pink bunny.
today an elderly lady gave us a gigantic cabbage as well!!!

my room mate Charlotte's got a new flat.
i love the way it looks! she is a true genius when it comes to decorating. <3
the best thing is that as you can see we will never part because i am on her fridge and in a frame with little roses by the window as well!
the fur is faux (needless to say!) and the beer is cheap but i dont see anythg wrong with cheap beer. you can stone me when i buy cheap champagne.

i am working on a scrapbook and one page of it is the most important of all. soon enough you will know why. so i asked emma to take some portraits of me and she did so. the only place quiet enough for a girl to read about murder is the bathroom at the moment. and it's warm enough as well. so that's where she took my picture.
i dont know why i look so small. it's a mystery how i manage to do that at times.. hm.
today is a day on which i am quite sick of humans and thinking seems extremely annoying. at least i can make a sandwhich for late night dinner.
so i have to go discuss Deadwood with my friend, he just started watching today.

yes ofc we have made film pictures wth our disposable darling but i just couldnt wait so i published some digital ones. something is the matter with our lens so we get this strange unpleasant mark at the bottom. :(
this ugly place isnt ugly anymore. we took a walk by the river where the snow was pure and untouched, looked at some horses and ran around. if it keeps snowing for a month i will be happy and blind.
in the meantime i have had a couple of questions and statements but now i cant recall them. i need to make an extra post to voice them.
btw my mum has gifted me with this amazing vintage parka which is kinda purple but the snow distorts the colour. and i m very very happy about it. i should sleep in it. or try to.

yesterday we felt like taking some stupid pictures so we took some stupid pictures. we dont do digital bla bla but then we just took them anyhow. it is way too dark in the house to shoot analog without further preparation and since this was just a silly pink idea out of nowhere there wasnt much point in making a fuss about it.
at the moment horrible things are happening around the magazine i work for leaving me all frustrated, confused and tired... but hold your breath for exciting news to come. well if you hold your breath.
ah yes i would like to mention that i am wearing my special scissors earring custom made for me and me alone by my wonderful Stockholm flatmate Charlotte, and that me and Emma are not twins, just because ppl keep asking.

while i just dont know what to do, i decided to upload some scans from my family's lost film negatives. we have about a million of photos and lots of better ones also, but since i had never seen these before i found them quite interesting anyhow. i will always be thankful to my parents for never forbidding us to demolish the whole house in order to create any campsite or whatever we wanted to crowl around or whatever nonsense it was we did, and also for keeping one spare room as a playroom always, and for taking a million pictures, documenting the most trivial things.
i tried to do some organizing to get it over with in one post..

i went for a walk with Emma yesterday and then she took these wonderful pictures of me. i took some her as well but i'm not sure which ones she likes so i cant upload them...
we have discovered a new enemy we've always had. the sun. it's always there. everywhere. it's unbearable. it's fucking january, it's supposed to be rainy, cloudy, i m not even gonna mention the snow, but no. just the sun. this is a nightmare. it destroys every picture and every walk. i dont want the fucking sun anymore. someone take it...
during this wasteland walk, i also fell while climbing a hill, hurt my leg, and arm, and almost destroyed my precious praktica. (please dont try to picture the scene- it cant have been pretty)

our shoot Marian Apparitions was published today. i'm already somewhat sick of coming across my Virgin Mary face everywhere across facebook and on the net so i just decided to publish the fujis from the shoot. excluding the Virgin posterchild. it was fun shooting this and i'm glad so many people liked it, even if some didnt, well not everyone can be perfect so i can understand if anybody envys me. you have my sympathy.

we took a walk with our friend Eri the other day.
the location was beautiful enough but it was so freezing cold that our hands were shaking and we couldnt hold the camera still. hence the absolute lack of focus. the cold gave us a headache so had to leave early. then when we got home the film jammed and as i was trying to get it out of the camera i let some light in and there you go. half of the pictures ruined for good and a few surving magnificent light leaks.
well we just have to go back when Eri is here next time. it's almost walking distance and you can look at the birds. there are some tiny weird ones. and old circus caravans by the river.

you might know for how long i've been trying to get hold of a copy of this book. unfortunately, it has been out of print for some years but today it arrived in my letterbox. i believe someone must have taken it home from a library since there is a a very suspicious stamp on it and then went on and sold in on ebay. well i admit i'm glad he/she did so.

if you enjoy murders and love animals you should try and find this. for once humans get what they deserve! or if you just love patricia highsmith.

other reasons for joy are currently located in my email and will be made official sooner or later.

i have a new favourite camera.
and it is a tiny blue disposable camera bought in berlin 2 years ago. it shoots perfectly well under water but under any conditions really. the thing about it is that it is not disposable at all. it turns out i can reload it anytime. which i m surely planning to do.
now what really beats me is how a shabby tiny camera like that can shoot with such little natural light! i didnt expect anythg to be on these few pictures.
emma was kind enough to let me borrow her old patchwork colourful anorak on that strange day. unfortunately the little ship in the middle of nowhere and by the cemetery was not lit after all. i still enjoyed the blistering cold though.

so our slide project didnt go as planned due to the lack of a proper projector n proper slides. we will have to repeat the whole exhausting project. those are the 2 clearest ones and next time we should try and shoot a 400 or 800 iso film since this damn 1600 is pure grain as usual...
epic fail. at least i didnt have to pay a thing for having the film developed.
now Emma has read like 2 pan books of horror stories in 2 days n i m freaking out.
nothing else to say to this post. ah yes my cheek looks super fat n sagging because of the silly flower petal shadow.. uh...

one night, after i had been running around in clothes i hadnt worn for hm let's say 15 years, i went to bed.
(see fuji + it seems i've got a knot in my hair or so..)
by accident i fell asleep. then i woke up and it was 3.30 am. the telly was still on. i got up to have a look. hundreds of ppl were dancing madly inside a school hall, while a crazy girl was jazz singing about pudding or some edible stuff that was also green. and they kept dancing and beating and after a while they spread on the street. after that people kept stretching their tongues out and then another guy was acting, well actually he pretended to be taking a shit on a platform. i think. i was shocked. i couldnt move or take my eyes of the screen.
i dont know when or how i went back to sleep but it must have been in the morning.
conclusion: STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN AT NIGHT WHILE U SLEEP!

anyhow today i got 5 parcels, one of them was a letter from Polly & Emi, my two dears. thank u! i might blog about my letters soon.
(it would be best if the postman didnt choose to come at 9, because i am sleeping.)

one including tons of pink hearts n other stuff any 5 year old would kill for.
then the hearts from emma's face ended up on one of my shelves, because i have a problem with throwing away things. it's just painful so i dont.
now i have 5 films to get developed at last. i dont even remember what to expect. i think there must be lots of black cat photos on one...XD

this is the first post of the year and i havent had any films developed yet. so i decided to make an Ophelia paintings post. random as it might be.
everyone who has actually bothered to read Hamlet and then had to write a hundred essays about it, will know of the character. Ophelia, alright, is traditionally approached as somewhat lame. which makes sense since she s viewed just as an insane (and very gendered) character walking around pointlessly and then drowning unloved.
well i m not sure as to how fair this is and modern even more idiotical approaches, the Hamlet marrying Ophelia kind, are even more of a disgrace to the poor character of this epic madwoman.
Ophelia is an occult character of strange significance and symbolism both in terms of madness and of suicide in the deep dark water, and so also a much bigger inspiration to the artist than Hamlet, or Juliet and many others. i was too lazy to upload Rimbaud or T. S. Elliot, and i have to live with the fact that people rather look than read.
so here are some of the moste famous Ophelias; wild eyed girl, with messed up serpentine hair, a white gowned waternymph clutching to her flowers, a death's bride floating in the black river.

everyone is happy n that s good so.

i am bored, i m gift-less (almost) and unmotivated. my cardigan is oversized way past cool and i 've had too much to eat.
i just want to smell the cold, but it isnt the same cold anywhere. i m so hard to please.
on top of it all ppl get angry when i look at them.
this is the wrong christmas for me. i m misplaced, or my head is, or my body, my eyes are.

oh! my best friend who is far far away just got internet after months. well that was a fairly good christmas gift i guess. yet remains overpowered by the rest of cheerfulness around me...

the picture might be horrible but i was gifted this key chain today! it's too small to see but yeah it s a rainbow unicorn with a glittery horn hanging on 3 candy coloured hearts. hahaha. it's almost like a flashback to when i was 13. if that's not enough to overlook the awful face of mine n the terrible darkness of the photo i dont know what to do...

so my film jammed while they were developing it n got mostly ruined except from these 4 weird shots. so yeah i just had to upload those ones. no big deal, plenty of rolls left. some random incoherent shots never harmed anyone. the holga will be used again along with flowers and some blood.

we had to experiment a little in our homemade darkroom so emma took some random pictures documenting some of my activities over a couple of days 2 weeks ago.
the film is insanely grainy but everything went fine so we could move on to better stuff (which we have done and will upload pretty soon).
the internet seems only boring now compared to spending time in the darkness.
nothing digital can ever compare to anything analog.

i took a fuji of emma being crazy. n i loved it! (the room is crazy as well.)

a quick note: spending the morning in the bank i realized there must be some sort of special dress code for the ladies working there: dress as expensive and awful as you can! i notice this everytime i walk into a bank. it s such a sad effort i could almost burst into tears. too much money n too little taste- seems to be the curse of ppl involved in finance and economy.

a long time ago a very good friend of mine sent me these slides in a letter. he had no use for them and the ppl who owned them neither since they landed in the trash. n for a long time neither did i. but i finally managed to have them scanned. they were pretty dirty and i never bothered to clean them but i still like them. looks pretty much like holiday photos or random photos anyway. i wish i knew where they ve been taken. if u recognize a specific place let me know please. n if u can imagine what this strange thing is that looks like balconies or like a roof let me know as well. :)
but just in case i have made up my own stories anyhow. especially to picture 6. hehe. if anybody wants to hear let me know. lol.

so i've been busy drawing a bit. n then i thought it was wise to make a gif out of it. but ofc. facebook doesnt allow gifs, and blogger doesnt allow gif-headers. so the poor damn gif has to go by unnoticed! dont let this happen to my gif! it took me all day to get there! (that s supposed to be a portrait of me btw. i hope it s obvious!)

a very precious friend of ours presented us with a PZ 680 Color Shade pack. so we took a walk and managed to get some really good shots this time. everything seemed to be working just fine and the Spectra is turning into one of my favourite babes of all time. (i have a strange hand...)

then it got dark but we still got some fine shots, but yeah also a stupid one of me eating my apple which i hadnt washed even. what a stupid muppet..

yesterday i went with emma for some tests. unfortunately we had just 1 black and white shot left. a little blurry but i did like it. then the rest wasnt going too well because of the cold n my shivering. when i managed to stop shaking i cut off emma's head. n then next the film-camera stopped working. so i turned out pretty faceless. still quite like. which means everythg happening this weekend just as planned and i m having some better focused stuff to show very soon.

i was bored the other day so i took a facebook picture. n one smiley picture with my hand n hair going nuts n another one holding this red heart with my lips going nuts n accidentally nearly forming a heart.

n then there is ofc the one that ended up on facebook. the most boring one of the bunch:

(the only important thing on these pictures is my dear cardigan, which is hand made and 90s vintage owned by me for 15 years now. cos hm i used to exist as a person in the 90s as well, so i dont have to put on too much effort to look like a 90s icon by sadly gluing anything pink, glittery n of poor taste on me.)

Emma and I have created and baked an embryo elephant.
afterwards it turned into a dolphin in a straitjacket.
when eaten it tasted insanely good.
(it was filled with nutella and nuts after all.)

it is too hot n we cant leave the house so we had to take photos indoors for a while.
weather seems to be getting better n we r going to the sea today.
wish i could say to the ocean but that would be exaggerated.
we r not going to bring a camera because we want to see what it feels like to take everything in without thinking in frames. i dont see how it will work out but well...
there are many ways to document ur surroundings, i m willing to experiment. (unless we end up bringing a camera.)

shooting Emma i discovered it's a great idea to sometimes use my Zenit lens on the Practika.
also discovered it's a great idea to shoot Emma.
i also discovered that if i wanted to note the catastrophe of the day i'd be in serious trouble since i couldnt pick one, all day they kept coming n coming.
re-discovered the fun of making a collage.
also, ppl, dont believe a shit what u read in wikipedia, it's all porkies. they argue ppl (like siblings etc) dont exist, make up wives or whatever, n if they dont know where u grew up that s ok cos they can invent sthg.
then i also found out i need to drink more.

yesterday we took some fantastic film photos of an imaginary film. but then later on that Emma kindly took these random after-hours shots of me. my sincere apologies to the neighbours if i happen to set them on fire some day -by accident. i m just bad at disposing of things. today Gina is coming home n i m pleased that she gets to do some cleaning cos it s not what i m best at.

we spent a few days with our dear cousin Nadine, one of our favourite persons ever.
there s an analog shoot we ll be publishing soon, but for now just a digital test in black n white.
eri joined us before she was forced to flee the scene due to meeting up with a lover brat.

i am back.
with a horribly hurt spine, a tan, a mosquito bite mosaic all over the tan.
it is way too hot n the mood is way too bad.
i wanna eat only figs all day but that doesnt seem feasible atm since there r only 5 in the fridge.
some fujis n a polaroid 60 while i m waiting for my films to get developed.
very interesting.

i miss all all my friends n most of all i miss our old house with emma.
